There are very few albums, if any, dedicated specifically to the music of the Napoleonic period, despite the folk repertoire of the UK and Ireland being full of it. So I decided to make one with our group, We have used many period instrument where possible and tried to reproduce the feel and mood of the period. The following is but a small collection of the available songs and tunes that we could have used. I hope that this brings to light some of the wonderful material available and stimulates interest and enjoyment. Robert White
